The East Brunswick Spirit, East Brunswick Soccer Club’s premier U13 girls soccer team, seeks two or three players for next fall and spring seasons. Players must be born between Aug 1, 1996, and July 31, 1997. The team is trained by Rutgers University’s Alicia Hall, plays in Jags premier and will attend seven top tournaments in addition to the State Cup. The team trains twice a week and plays its games at Heavenly Farms and Dideriksen Park in East Brunswick. Out-of-town players are welcome. The U13 Girls CNJSB Wildcats of East Brunswick entered the 2010 Epic Tournament in Yardley, Penn., on May 8 and 9 and emerged champions. In the Wildcats’ first game, they defeated the CRUSA Wizards of Bucks County, 3-0. They continued their outstanding play throughout the tournament, winning their second game by a score of 3- 2 over Robbinsville. In the third game, they shut out the Yardley Makefield Soccer (YMS) Leopards, 7-0, thus winning their bracket and advancing to the finals. In the finals, the girls put together a great team performance, coming away with a 2-0 win over the YMS Cheetahs. During tournament play, the girls have been solid both offensively and defensively, as their hard work has paid some dividends. Central New Jersey Silver Bullets girls U14 fall The team is looking for a few dedicated, athletic girls, born on or after Aug. 1, 1996. The team participates in JAGS/MAPS and in numerous tournaments and state cup events each year. Players train with Corrado Carbone, who brings more than 35 years of experience playing, coaching and training high-level soccer teams and individual players. Carbone played Division 1 college soccer and spent some time in Italy and holds a National C coaching license. Carbone has held coaching positions in the Pele, Franz Beckenbauer, Giorgio Chinaglia and New York Cosmos soccer camps. Tryouts are confidential and by invitation. Frog Hollow Swim and Tennis Club’s

33rd annual 5K Run and Health Walk will be held June 26 at the club, located on Ferris Street off South Pine Avenue in South Amboy. There will be a free youth fun run, awards, T-shirts, a post-race picnic, and allday swimming and tennis.
