Registration is open for the eighth annual High Speed Chase for the Cure 5K Run/3K Walk set to begin at 8 a.m. Sept. 12 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center on the Rutgers University Livingston campus, Piscataway.

Proceeds will benefit The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, New Brunswick.

The event will feature awards in multiple categories, T-shirts, entertainment, refreshments and prizes. The 5K race is a sanctioned 500-point Grand Prix race on a USA Track and Field certified course.

Registration fee is $25 for the general public, $20 for students; USA Track and Field members will pay $18 until Sept. 2.
