Library offers movies on Thursdays, Fridays

The Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St., will present a series of Thursday-afternoon and Friday-night movies throughout July and August. All films will be shown in the library meeting room.

The Thursday matinees will begin at 2 p.m. A 2009 Quentin Tarantino film starring Brad Pitt and set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II will be shown July 22. The voices of George Clooney and Meryl Streep are featured in an animated Roald Dahl classic set for July 29. Viewers will meet the real star of “The Devil Wears Prada” in a documentary to be screened Aug. 5. Emily Blunt stars as a young queen in love in the Aug. 12 selection.

All Friday-night movies will begin at 7 p.m. A film based on a bestselling book by Audrey Niffenegger and starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana will be offered July 23. Richard Gere and Hilary Swank bring the mystery of Amelia Earhart to the screen in the film scheduled for July 30.

Screenings are free of charge and open to the public; children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
