Professor Ameer Sohrawardy will offer tips on mastering the SAT writing section in a program set for 7 p.m. July 26 for high school students and 7 p.m. Aug. 5 for junior high school students and their parents at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Sohrawardy is an English professor at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

Participants in the seminars will learn how to manage their time, organize their ideas, identify grammatical errors and more. Students will see examples of essays that earned perfect scores. There will be a question and-answer period.
