S.R. to celebrate National Night Out

South River will observe its second annual National Night Out with a street fair and party set for 4-9 p.m. Aug. 3 on the South River High School grounds, 11 Montgomery St.

The event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the South River Police Department and the South River Municipal Alliance.

Highlights will include rides (buy a $5 bracelet), a dog show, a magic exhibition and a DJ. Live entertainment will be provided by local talent including Decaying States, Graveyard Shift, and Right Now! (all rock ’n’ roll bands), Brother Billy (solo original music) and Chelsea Hawley (solo singer).
