Dog returned safely, thanks to three ‘angels’

It’s been a few weeks since I met three “angels” who made my birthday a happy one.

Recently, it was my 69th birthday. I took my beloved dog in the back of my complex in Sayreville and removed his leash so he could stretch his legs and run around freely and safely in the enclosed backyard.

I turned my back to him and went over to admire the tomatoes growing in our little garden. In the blink of an eye, my dog was gone. I called his name, Bam Bam, over and over, and whistled hundreds of times, all to no avail. Bam Bam was gone. He slipped out, and he was gone. I prayed and asked God to return my dog — after all, it was my birthday, and I deserved a happy one.

God heard me. He sent three angels to find my dog. Bam Bam was found in the crossroads of the Victory Bridge, a great distance from where he started out on Washington Road.

The three angels were wise enough to read my dog’s tags from the Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital, Sayreville, give his tag number to the hospital and find out where he belonged and what his name was.

On their way to the veterinary hospital, the three angels decided to stop at my complex to inquire if anyone had lost a dog, just as I was walking out with my car keys to look for Bam Bam. Lo and behold, they had Bam Bam with them. The angels were happy, Bam Bam was happy, and my birthday was a happy one … the best.

I wish to thank those three angels and Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital for their kindness and love of animals.
