Mrs. Russo, 86, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died July 15, 2010, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 22 years as a sales clerk and floor person at Kresge’s department store in the former Sayre Woods Shopping Center, Old Bridge. After that, she worked in the kitchen at the former Spezzi’s Restaurant, Parlin. Her husband, James J. Russo, died in 2008. Surviving are her children and her spouses, Anthony Russo of Boynton Beach, Fla., James Russo of Parlin, and Theresa Zdep, Michael Conte, and Maria and Arthur Rittenhouse, all of Sayreville; a sister, Paula Minardi of Fairfield; a brother, Augie Del Russo of the Brick Town section of Brick; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, also South Amboy. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin.
